EA announces build-harvest game Minion's Paradise
There arguably hasn’t been a movie character that’s had a bigger impact on mobile gaming than the minions from Despicable Me. Thanks to EA’s announcement at E3 2015, we’re about to see a whole lot more of them in a new game called Minion’s Paradise.
Minion’s Paradise is a build-harvest game where you must build an island paradise for a bunch of angry minions after the protagonist (named Phil) wrecks their cruise. The characters and content are based around the Minions movie which is also due out later this summer. EA has stated that characters from the movies will be present in the game, including villains and minions.
In the game you are tasked with building an island paradise full of games, fun, and leisure for your fellow minions. EA has also said that villains will make appearances to your resort to plot horrible things and enjoy themselves. If you’ve played other movie-based builder games such as Nemo’s Reef or Ice Age Village, you should know how this is all going to work.
The release date is slated for sometime this summer although it’s fairly safe to guess that the release of the game will coincide with the release of the movie. That means it’ll probably be out by the end of July. As for the price, Minion’s Paradise will almost certainly be a Freemium (free with in-app purchases) title much like its fellow movie-based builder brethren.
